Most of the queries we receive are related to skip hire, so this section is focused on answering some of the most common questions we get asked. If you can’t find the answer to your question here, please call us on 01483 504595 or contact us.

Most deliveries can happen the same day if you contact us by 3pm.

If you want us to collect or exchange a skip, please call us on 01483 504595. We’ll either come out same day or the next working day.

Most skips can be placed on private property with the owner’s permission.  We work with our customers to place these in the most convenient locations however, on occasion, where space is limited, we can place outside the property, subject to any local council laws.”

A standard driveway is usually big enough for a skip, however, the entrance must be at least 2.9 metres (9 feet 6 inches) wide for us to safely deliver and collect the skip.

For situations where access may be an issue, take a look at our Muckaway service as an alternative to a skip.

Yes however, we’ll obtain the relevant permit for you. There will be a small fee, which varies depending on the local authority. If the skip is to be placed on a private road, in some cases it won’t be necessary to apply for a permit.

If we’re unable to obtain the necessary permit, we’ll offer you our wait and load service instead. Call us on 01483 504595 to find out more.

The size you’ll need depends on the volume of waste you expect to generate. We supply skips from 4 to 12 yards and RORO (roll-on roll-off) containers from 20 to 35 yards.

It’s important to remember that skips must only be loaded up to the top of the sides. For safety reasons we won’t collect overloaded skips.

If you end up producing more waste than anticipated, don’t worry. Just order a replacement skip and we’ll make the exchange the next working day at the latest.

If in doubt, please contact us on 01483 504595.

All the materials we collect in skips and RORO containers go to our waste recycling site in Slyfield. We sort the materials and recycle as much as possible – usually 98%.

If your business generates a lot of waste, you might think you need to hire a number of skips to collect it all in. In this situation, our REL (Rear End Loader) and RORO (roll-on roll-off) container service offers a much more convenient and cost-effective solution.
