Assistant Sales Office/Transport Coordinator (Assistant Manager) – Based at our Runfold Depot

Chambers Runfold plc are looking to recruit an Assistant Sales Office/Transport Coordinator (Assistant Manager) at our busy depot, based in Runfold, Farnham.

 

Main Duties

  • Sales – Taking calls from customers and quoting
  • Assist with various administration tasks, as and when required
  • Routing of Tippers, Grabs and Mixers
  • Scheduling work for drivers and arranging sub- contract drivers
  • Insurance claims
  • Assisting with the management and compliance of our operator’s licence
  • Fully manage our Aquarius Truck Management System. Full Training will be given.

 

Important Requirements/Attributes

  • Have a good in- depth knowledge of the local area
  • Be highly computer literate and able to operate a computerised routing system
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to manage HGV drivers
  • Be able to keep calm in times of pressure as this is an extremely busy role
  • Cover the Weighbridge on occasion, when necessary (Training will be provided)
  • CPC holder is an advantage (be willing to work towards this qualification)

Hours: 

Monday to Friday 7am to 5:30pm 

NB:  Some 6:30am starts will be required on a rota basis, and absent/sick cover may be required

1 in 3 Saturdays  7am to 12:30pm  (if required, as currently not working Saturdays)

NB:  Absent/Sick cover may be required

 

Salary – £35,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
