Chambers Supports Guildford Sunrise Walk for Shooting Stars Children’s Hospices
The annual Guildford Sunrise Walk made a welcomed return, raising vital funds for families supported by Shooting Stars Children’s Hospices. This inspiring event highlights the importance of community support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
Walkers set off from the University of Law, Guildford at 6.30am, taking either a 10km or 20km route. The scenic paths led through some of Surrey’s most beautiful countryside, including the North Downs Way, Loseley Park, and St Martha’s Hill. Participants enjoyed the stunning views while supporting a meaningful cause.
Chambers was proud to play an active role in the success of the Guildford Sunrise Walk. We provided 20 portaloos along the route to ensure walkers could spend a penny in comfort. Supporting this event allowed our team to give back to a charity that is close to our hearts.
Shooting Stars Children’s Hospices provides specialist care for babies, children, and young people with life-limiting conditions. It costs £8.8 million annually to maintain their services, yet only 8% of this funding comes from the government. Every contribution counts, and events like the Guildford Sunrise Walk make a real difference.
This year’s walk raised an impressive £33,000, helping families access essential support, therapies, and respite care. Chambers is proud to have contributed and looks forward to supporting the Guildford Sunrise Walk again next year.
By taking part, local communities not only enjoy a healthy, energising walk through Surrey’s countryside but also make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families who need it most.
