Illegal fly-tipping cleared from local Scout Hut
Chambers Tackles Hazardous Fly-Tipped Waste at Peaslake and Shere Scout Hut
Chambers acted quickly to remove hazardous waste after someone illegally dumped it at the Peaslake and Shere Scout Hut. Fly-tipping continues to plague Surrey and Hampshire, damaging the countryside and threatening residents, local businesses, and wildlife.
The scout hut’s back area, normally used for campfires and outdoor activities, became a hazardous site due to the dumped containers. Sarah Egerton from the Peaslake and Shere Scout Hut said: “We are grateful to Chambers for removing the containers free of charge. As a charity, we don’t have the funds to deal with these types of issues. It’s a terrible shame that someone would dump rubbish in a place designed for children to play and explore.”
After comparing several quotes from local disposal companies, Chambers offered its services free of charge. The team safely cleared and disposed of all materials, following environmental regulations. Their prompt action protected the environment and the local community, highlighting the company’s commitment to safety and responsible waste management.
Chambers maintains strong ties with the Surrey and Hampshire areas. The company regularly supports local businesses, organisations, and charities, demonstrating its dedication to preserving the environment for future generations.
Fly-tipping costs communities time, money, and safety, but responsible waste disposal can prevent these issues. Chambers encourages residents and organisations to report illegal dumping and manage their own waste responsibly.
Through hands-on support and community initiatives, Chambers actively helps keep Surrey and Hampshire safe, clean, and enjoyable. By taking action, local companies and residents alike can make a real difference in protecting the environment.
