New Chambers HQ continues to make progress

The first phase of construction on our brand new 11,800 sq ft headquarters in Guildford is still making rapid progress, and is on schedule to complete in May 2017 with the external work due to finish in January.

The most recent milestone has seen the delivery of a new 60,000 litre fuel tank – the latest addition to the £3 million project.

The new building will allow us to bring our accounts, logistics and general administration departments under one roof. It will also contain our parts store – which is required to maintain the fleet of 64 HGVs that are already serviced from the depot – a new canteen and toilet block for drivers, and a truck washing facility.

We are also set to resurface the entire area surrounding the development, using 17,000 sq ft of concrete. The concrete is being supplied by our sister company – Chambers Runfold Plc – and is made from recycled ballast produced from a soil washing plant in Runfold.

Chambers is proud to be advocating sustainable development principles at the heart of our new headquarters, by recycling masses of material in this way.

This is a very exciting time for Chambers as we continue to invest in our infrastructure whilst improving working conditions for our loyal staff. Make sure you keep an eye on our website to get the latest updates on the construction work, as well as all the latest news from across the business.
