Rinse, crush, squash, sort and separate this Recycle Week

Running until 29th September, the theme of this year’s Recycling Week is ‘Recycling. It’s in our own hands’. With activists including Greta Thunberg and Sir David Attenborough shouting loud and long about the need to protect our precious planet, the week is urging all of us to take action and make recycling the new norm.

We are delighted to be supporting this initiative and are calling on all our customers and clients to join us in rinsing, crushing, squashing, sorting and separating in the bathroom, the kitchen, the office and the great outdoors, now and in the future.

Recycling is top priority here at Chambers. We recycle a minimum of 98 per cent of the waste we collect from our trade, construction and household customers. We have also waved goodbye to unrecyclable single plastic items including disposable cups and bottles, milk bottles, money bags and handwash bottles from our headquarters at North Moors in Guildford, as well as our Homefield Sandpit in Runfold, Farnham.

We’re pleased to offer waste audits – completely free of charge – to businesses, to help them reduce waste output and use of single-use items. For more information please just get in touch at enquiries@chambers-group.co.uk
